It's summer! And you're busy running here, there, & everywhere - vacations, kids sports camps, dance recitals, weddings, and - oh yeah, running yourself into the ground! 

 

Here are Five Simple Steps you can use right now, to Survive the Summer Stress with your sanity intact (or as much of your sanity as possible, anyway)!

1. Beat the heat - Overheating makes you hot-headed. Keep your cool mentally by keeping cool physically. Drinking cold water, adding a fan to your workspace, staying in the shade, & using sun protection when there's no shade can all help you be cool as can be.

 

2. Eat - Low blood sugar will decrease your ability to cope with the summer crazy. If it's too hot to stomach a big meal, sipping on a smoothie or eating small snacks throughout the day will help you keep your energy up, so you can be up for anything.

 

3. Keep a routine - Even when your usual day-in-day-out has gone out the window, maintaining some semblance of a routine will help you feel anchored no matter where you end up sailing. Even something as simple as sipping a cup of coffee while you check Facebook in the morning, or making sure the gang eats lunch around the same time every day can make a big difference. What's one thing can you do each day to feel a little more human, even if the rest of the day is a zoo?

 

4. Sleep it off - Running here, there, & everywhere wears you out. Don't forget to recharge your batteries with a solid night's sleep, and power boost yourself with naps whenever you need them!
